About Las Olas

Las Olas is more of a highly desirable area to live in east Fort Lauderdale, Florida than an official neighborhood. The area is in close proximity to the historic Las Olas Boulevard, a popular thoroughfare that extends east from Andrews Avenue to A1A/Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard.

When Las Olas Boulevard was constructed in 1917, it was a dirt road that crossed swampy wetlands to the Fort Lauderdale Beach barrier island. In the 1920s, a dredging project yielded one of the most picturesque waterfront residential neighborhoods in the world — the Las Olas Isles. Other neighborhoods along Las Olas Boulevard include Beverly Heights, Colee Hammock, Idlewyld and Victoria Park.

Las Olas homes are within within walking distance to parks, casual and upscale restaurants, shopping, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Museum of Art and Museum of Discovery and Science. Popular destinations like the Fort Lauderdale Beach, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, Galleria Mall, golf courses, top-rated schools and more are only minutes away by car.
