About Rio Vista
Rio Vista and Rio Vista Isles are affluent residential neighborhoods located close to Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The area is one of the oldest communities in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, dating back to the 1920s. Today there are approximately 1,000 single-family homes.
Most Rio Vista Isles homes are on deep and wide water canals, with direct access (no fixed bridges) to the Atlantic Ocean via the 17th Street Causeway bridge. When closed, the bridge has a 55 foot clearance and conveniently opens every 15 minutes to allow larger vessels to pass through. Many lots in this area feature 100 feet of waterfront property, which yields about 90 feet of boat dockage. However, it’s not uncommon to find corner lots that wrap around to yield up to 300 feet of boat dockage.
Rio Vista homes are located on streets that are lined with beautiful mature trees. Homeowners take great pride in the appearance of their yards, many of which boast lush tropical landscaping. The area is truly picturesque.
This wonderful area is conveniently located within minutes of fine dining, private schools, golf courses, shopping, Museum of Art, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades, highways, and more.
