Every year the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) takes places in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thousands of brands attend the show to showcase their latest product innovations. It’s a great place for us to get a peek into technology we can expect in the near future. Here is our top five list of the best CES 2020 home tech.
1. Samsung Ballie
This intelligent orb from Samsung is a roving artificial intelligence assistant that can execute commands like Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Assistant. The robot navigates your home, interacting with you and other smart home devices. Ballie can execute commands like dimming lights, opening window coverings, activating Roomba and can help users remotely keep tabs on what’s happening around the home via its onboard camera.
2. LG Signature OLED TV R9
The R9 is a 65-inch, 4K HDR smart television from LG Signature that ascends and retracts from a minimalist speaker cabinet created by high-end furniture manufacturer Kvadrat and Dolby Atmos. While a 65-inch television screen would normally dominate a room, the R9 rollable screen allows homeowners to easily transform spaces from home theaters to conversation spaces and back again with a simple verbal command.
3. Mirror
Mirror can be your most reflective personal trainer —ever! When off, it serves as a full-length mirror. With a few syllables and swipes, The Mirror transforms into one of the most diversified personal trainers you can find. The device offers on-demand classes, as well as over 70 live weekly classes over a variety of disciplines. Users can also take advantage of the full suite of analytics to track vitals and progress.
4. LG Harvester
Specialized refrigerators for wine or beverages have been around for years. Now, the future will bring a full-size unit for growing select vegetables and herbs! The built-in, column style refrigerator uses light, temperature and water controls to create the best environment for gardening in your kitchen. A non-circulating water supply system distributes the right amount of water for each plant type and prevents algae growth. Flexible modules replicate the best outdoor conditions by matching the temperature in the cabinet with the time of day. There are LED lights, forced air circulation and a wick-based water management system.
5. Sleep Number Climate360 Smart Bed
Apparently many of us feel too hot or too cold at night to sleep comfortably. So, Sleep Number created a mattress that works with your sleep cycle to keep your body at its ideal temperature. In addition, the smart bed lets you adjust each side to your ideal firmness, support and comfort — referred to as your Sleep Number.
6. Samsung BotChef
This futuristic sous chef can perform a wide range of kitchen tasks like chopping, stirring, whisking, pouring and cleaning. In short, all the things most home cooks dislike performing, but most recipes require.
While there was still no mention of a George Jetson-style flying car at CES, we think these top five CES 2020 home tech items will help you live your luxury lifestyle with more ease and comfort.
